What makes it special?

Chais Monnet Hotel & Spa sits on the site of the former cellars and warehouses of the Monnet Cognac house on the banks of the Charente River, originally created in 1838 on more than two hectares in the heart of the city of Cognac and near all the most beautiful cognac houses to pool together the region’s resources. Seven original structures and three new buildings now form what is the hote, which was designed by architect Didier Poignant to blend the rich heritage of the property and region with a touch of the striking modern. The colour palette even takes notes from the brandy, with butter-soft interiors in an oak-beamed mansion.

In honour of the founder of the Monnet Cognac house, the hotel’s Presidential Suite bears the founder’s name, Jean-Gabriel Monnet. Spacious and stylish, the Jean Gabriel Monnet Suite is a private sanctuary with its own fully equipped kitchen, dining room and large reception room.
