What makes it special?
The expansive teak-wood villa offers unobstructed, direct views of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site of the 9th-century Borobudur Temple, after which the resort is named after. The villa itself is named after the Javanese Merbabu volcano, which peeks out behind the temple, along with the other magnificent sites of Mount Sumbing and Mount Merapi, framed by views of the valley and its villages and rice-fields. The villa is the only one at the resort that is split across two levels, the upper-floor offering lounging- and dining as well as the master bedroom, while the other tow bedrooms are on the lower level, along with the private pool and outdoor deck. The style, from the structure to the interiors, is decidedly traditional Javanese, heavily accented by local artworks and sculptures and teak wood throughout, with modern touches.
